OxyGuard Redox Plus
Single-Channel Redox/ORP Measurement System with Built-in Alarm and Controller Outputs
The OxyGuard Redox Plus is a single channel redox/ORP measurement and control system with built-in pulse controller, 4-20 mA analogue output and both high and low alarm outputs.
The Redox Plus uses a redox/ORP electrode fitted into any one of the OxyGuard series of redox/ORP probes. The result is a simple, reliable and easy to use complete redox measurement, alarm and control system.
The OxyGuard Redox Alpha is available for users needing a primary redox measurement device without alarm and control functions.
Technical Advantages
This system is a no-compromise redox measurement and control system. The unit is built into a solid, waterproof metal cabinet with a clear plastic lid covering the front panel. There is both high and low alarm functions and a simple pulse-pause controller with adjustable pulse/pause duty cycle. This function permits the regulation of the process redox potential/ORP by adding suitable chemicals.
The function of the controller is to activate the dosing system (solenoid valve dosing, pump etc.) that is connected to the control output, for a short period of time (pulse time), after which an interval (pause) follows. After the pause the controller gives another pulse, activating the dosing system again. This cycle is repeated as long as the redox potential of the process is on the "wrong" side of the value set on the CON set point. The advantage of the pulse controller over simple on/off dosing using a limit contact is that it permits much more precise control. Overshoot is avoided, since the pauses permit the process to settle down a little before further dosing takes place.
Probe
The OxyGuard Redox Plus is designed for use with the range of OxyGuard Probes. These are available in immersion, submersion and flow-through versions in different materials to suit many different applications.
The OxyGuard Redox Alpha is identical to the Redox Plus except that it does not have alarm or control output.
